Stencil Material - Mylar A

We stock Mylar film in a variety of thicknesses and sheet sizes. Ideal for cutting templates and stencils, but also perfect if you need insulation materials for an electrical insulator.

Most materials are available in 3 sizes, Quarter, Half and Full. Please see each individual item for exact sizes of each sheet. (Please note that due to the manufactured sizes not all sheet variations are the same)

The following lists details and uses for each thickness:

190 Micron - Durable, flexible re-usable polyester film. At this thickness Mylar can achieve high detail on laser cut stencils for decorative and graphic stencils. This material is easy to cut with a craft knife or hot knife, it is the ideal choice for decorative wall stencils. It is suitable for most uses. It can also be used for card stenciling.

Q - 370mm x 495mm
H - 740mm x 495mm
F - 740mm x 990mm

250 Micron - The 250 Micron film is hard wearing and more rigid but still retains flexibility. For larger industrial use, this film will last. You can use solvents such as white spirit to clean or scrape the paint off. It can be used for card making as well, but the detail must not be too small. This film is not generally suitable for small, intricate detail.

350 Micron - The 350 micron thick film is extremely hard wearing and rigid but still retains flexibility. For larger industrial use, this film will last. You can use solvents such as white spirit to clean or scrape the paint off. It can be used for card making and embossing as well, but the detail must not be too small. This film is not generally suitable for small, intricate detail.

500 Micron - The 500 micron Mylar is usually used for pavement clean graffiti stencils and sometimes warehouse industrial stencils.

H - 500mm x 505mm

175 Micron Food Safe - Durable, very lightweight and very flexible material. This is a re-usable Food Safe Mylar polyester film, which can be used safely for cake and biscuit decorating. This material is easy to clean and tear resistant up to point.

H - 406mm x 457mm
F - 812mm x 457mm
